and I'm terribly fickle.
This is most recently evidenced by my reading two pages of The Death of Ivan Ilych and stopping. In some ways, if you can't hook me instantly I'm moving on!
So, my next project is Adult Children of Alcoholics. This is a re-read for me. However where I am in my life now, I have more insights than when I read it in 2005. So let's see what I take from it this time.
And yes, my family of origin is/was very ACOA, even though no one was an alcoholic. The dynamic was the same, though.

Dear Blog I'm Sure Nobody Reads,
I am truly sorry for neglecting you this long.
In the time since I last posted several books have crossed my path, to put it mildly.
I haven't finished many books lately. In fact, I'm not sure if I can name a novel that I've finished since the first of the year.
Maybe The Help.
Anyway, I'm back to trying to blog about my literary adventures.
I just started The Death of Ivan Ilych. I love Tolstoy. Philip Roth made it sound like a good tale in American Pastoral. Couldn't finish that. That was disappointing.
