how it is

I am done with Thank You notes from the wedding. With the exception of a couple of vendor notes, I'm done. Originally I was planning to write a whole bunch of vendor thank you notes & some really nice additional ones, but I just don't have the mojo right now.

And good bad or indifferent, that's ok.

I hadn't planned to bring the wedding proofs to Salado for lunch, but I had a flash and thought for a second about bringing them. Then I remembered more how even when lunch and the Stagecoach Inn restaurant are calm, there's still a lot of activity. And despite what Ann would like, I don't want to lug them up there & deal with all the activity & overstimulation of Dad, Ann, Greg and Merry (if she shows up) trying to look at them & eat and not spill on them.

So I'll take them up for them to see when we go visit in January.

And that will just have to be good enough for them, because it's what I want.

OR, they could make the trip down here and look at them. What a novel idea!!

Am I the only person

Who doesn't like bread pudding?

I just don't see what all the fuss is about. It's bland to me.

Even with Greg's famous whiskey sauce, my favorite part is the sauce.

Butter, sugar and whiskey, what's not to love about that?

Maybe one day I'll be pwned by a bread pudding but it hasn't happened yet.

I might be able to party with a chocolate bread pudding?

My mantra these days

We admitted to ourselves that we were powerless over the addict.

Repeat and breathe deeply as many times as needed

I'm not working any program, but I like to borrow elements that work or are pertinent.

It started out that that mantra applied to one specific person, but I'm discovering that it can be used in reference towards other people and situations in general.

And that's helpful.

That's really all that I'm comfortable sharing at this point.
